It is also considered the abode of Venkateshwar (Vishnu) and the Kaliyug Vaikuntha. It is an important place for the Vaishavas.

Puttaparty is famously known because of the reason that it is the residence of Bhagwan Shri Satya Sai Baba. Otherwise Puttaparty was a mere village but now it has got national as well as International fame. It is situated on the southern-western part of the Andhra Pradesh. Puttaparty is a beautiful natural place enclosed by rocky and arid hills that border Karnataka.

However, the two most important festivals celebrated in this area constitute of the annual Braham-mahotsava and the local festival Gangamma Jathra. Additionally, you can find the latest modes of entertainment also.

On the other hand, Puttaparty celebrates the birthday of Sri Sai baba with great enthusiasm. For them this is their festival and the place is of course famous because of Baba’s ashram only.
